How to use areeka web for your online therapy
Are you looking for a therapist who matches your needs and fits your personality? Then you have arrived at the right place. Here’s how to utilise Areeka Web’s matching tool to find the therapist who suits you best.

Answer a few short questions

areeka web will match you with the right therapist for you depending on your response to six questions. The main criteria are:

Language: Language is our main form of communication so it is crucial that you feel comfortable conversing with your therapist and to feel that you both understand one another. Select the language you feel most comfortable using from the ones offered.

Religion: Whether religion is important to you and you want a therapist who can view your situation within a religious context or not, the choice is yours.

Gender: You may feel more comfortable talking to a therapist that is the same sex as you, or you may want one that is the opposite sex. Whether or not it matters, you decide.

Specialty: When looking for a therapist, it is important to keep in mind that certain challenges in life require specific expertise. Our therapists are qualified in a large array of specialties, so you are bound to find one to help you through your specific problems.

Based on your responses to these questions, you can either select to be matched with a therapist, or continue on to answer a few more questions that will provide your therapist with further insights into the way you are feeling.

Select a match

areeka web is designed to match you with psychotherapists who fit your profile, based on your responses to the questions. Our system will select a few professionals for you to consider in more detail.

Read through their profiles and select the one you feel most comfortable about based on their areas of expertise, their education and their work overview – the areas they have had the most work experience in, the approaches they use, how they differ from each of the other therapists selected for you.

All of our therapists go through an extensive selection process, so you can’t go wrong with an Areeka Web psychotherapist. Once you have found the one that most resonates with you, make your match.

Select your package

areeka web offers convenient packages based on your requirements. After selecting your package and registering, you can then go ahead and schedule your first session. When registering, you do not have to use your real name – you can remain anonymous to your therapist if you wish to do so.

Create the perfect environment for you

Once you have selected your therapist and booked your sessions, it is important for you to feel comfortable and ready for your online therapy. Because you do not need to commute, this is the perfect opportunity for you to create a safe, quiet and comfortable space for yourself. Therapy is a private matter, and your environment should be too. Find a private room where you will be able to talk freely without anybody around you listening or interrupting you.

Set up your laptop or device and ensure your camera is working and positioned well. Sit on a cushion or comfortable seat, and make sure the lighting is right. Try to set up and be ready for your appointment at least five to 10 minutes in advance. This will give you time to log in to your areeka web account, check that everything is working, clear your virtual space, and close all programs which might be running in the background. This will ensure that you are not rushing, fidgeting, or out of breath when your session begins.

Lastly, prepare your mind. Take a few deep breaths before beginning your session. Free your mind from all worries. Make yourself fully present. Now it is time to begin.

Start your online therapy journey

Remember, therapy is a journey, not a destination. We have a number of qualified psychologists who can arm you with the tools needed to deal with challenging situations. Select the therapist that is right for you.
